Faculty of Science and Sport The Physics division continued working with the Papine High School in a capacity-building project that should see the school being able to offer Physics as a standard CSEC subject. A team of lecturers, led by Mr George Ferriera, work with specially selected students using the CSEC curriculum to prepare them for undertaking the exams. Dr. Glenry Pinnock, Lecturer, Faculty of Science and Sport operates a mathematics meditation lab for CAPE students in Clarendon. Western Campus Community Blood Drive A community blood drive was held in February 2016 on location at Dome Street in partnership with the National Blood Transfusion Unit located at the Cornwall Regional Hospital. Several staff, students and community members were sensitized about the importance of donating blood and became donors. Montego Bay City Run 2016 The University remains an active member of the MoBay City Run planning committee. Proceeds will be in aid of needy students from the region enrolled in tertiary institutions in particular UTech Ja. and UWI Western Campuses, Sam Sharpe Teachers College and Montego Bay Community College.
