University of Technology, Jamaica ANNUAL REPORT 2015-2016 Page 108 University Annual Awards The University held its 46th Annual Awards Ceremony on May 27, 2016 under the theme “Reflecting on the Past, Charting a Dynamic and Exciting Future”. One hundred and twenty-seven (127) employees were recognized for their long and distinguished service to the University ranging from 10 to 40 years. Special awards were also given to staff who had distinguished themselves in the areas of Community Service, Customer Service, and in the Administrative, Ancillary and Technical categories. The President’s Award for Innovation was presented to the Calvin McKain Library, and the award for Excellence in Research was presented to Professor Fitzroy Henry from the College of Health Science. The Awards Ceremony was the culmination of Staff Development & Appreciation Week under the theme “Building Team Spirit, Promoting Respect”.
