This was geared at facilitating sustainable development through knowledge, information sharing and action in the Greater Papine area (August Town, Kintyre, Gordon Town and Standpipe) from February 23, 2017 to April 6, 2017 CSEII Energy Monitoring and Auditing Team (EMAT) As part of the Community Service Programme at UTech, Ja., 33 students completed 1320 hours of voluntary community service work through the CSEII. The group of students worked with the students and staff of Shady Grove Basic School. They delivered presentations and learning material for the children and participated in the school’s Annual Sports Day held on 31 March 2017. These CSP participants were trained and were instrumental in increasing awareness on energy issues on the Papine campus. Key activities were daily energy monitoring of high energy usage areas within faculties and departments, energy awareness talks and presentations. Caribbean School of Sport Sciences Volunteered work accomplished by student and staff were as follows: y y The Kingston City Run which was held on March13, 2016 and February 25, 2017 where we had the largest group of volunteers. Accompanying lecturers were Denise Wisdom and Naheel Brown Legister. y y A group of 8 students organized and officiated Children receiving Oral Health information at the College’s Annual Health Fair, 2017.
