The remainder of the production saw the presentation of certificates, the performance of an original song written by the summer students, a four-minute video highlighting memorable moments of the programme and viewing of artwork created by the students. Kingston on the Edge (KOTE) Art Exhibition Four students from the Visual Arts programme participated in the Kingston on the Edge (KOTE) art exhibition on 22 June 2016. Week of Excellence in the Visual and Perform- ing Arts, 15-18 November 2016 The Centre showcased its talents during week beginning 15 November. On opening night, the elective and ensemble drama students staged a show.. The following evening, the Steel Pan ensemble presented a wide selection of colourful music. The UTech choir treated the patrons to a feast of songs and comedy that delighted all who were in attendance. On the same evening, the music elective group showcased a number of their original compositions. The week culminated on November 18 with a combination of dance, drumming and storytelling. Anansi Soundsplash The storytelling festival Anansi Soundsplash is an initiative of the Council of Community Colleges in Jamaica. It aims to promote storytelling in Jamaica and this was the first time that UTech, Jamaica was hosting apart of the festival OFFICE OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ADVOCATE The Office of the Customer Service Advocate was established in August 2010 from a recognised need to establish a culture of excellent customer service. Training of staff at all levels and ensuring that operational procedures and processes are relevant, practical and effective were identified as priority issues. Additionally, the office is responsible for developing and guiding a relevant customer service programme for the University; by ensuring that the university’s customer service standards are developed and adhered to and plays a key role in establishing a culture of excellent customer service. Architect and Illustrator Richard Natoo engage campers in a Contemporary Drawing Workshop on Friday, July 8. At right, Music Producer and owner of Grafton Studios, Mickey Bennett has the rapt attention of campers at his Song Writing Workshop held on July 15.
