Nursing students who were admitted to the Dean’s List for the last Academic Year pose with their special awards received at the 6 th annual Striping Ceremony hosted by the College of Health Sciences on Thursday, February 9, 2017. Alumni Relation Matters The UTech Pharmacy Alumni (UPA) continued to be a major source of support for the School of Pharmacy. Both the UPA and the Caribbean Institute of Pharmacy Policy Practice (CIPPPAR) continued to provide assistance for needy pharmacy students. At the Annual Grace Allen Young Memorial Lecture, held on Sunday, November 20, 2016, a donation of $300,000 was made to the School of Pharmacy by CIPPPAR/UPA. The UPA, by way of the Canadian-Jamaican Past Students living in Calgary, Canada, also granted a scholarship to Ms Paviell Forbes, a second year Pharmacy student. LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL LINKAGES The Seeding Labs Instrumental Access Programme In January 2017, the College received a donation of much needed high level pharmaceutical equipment valued at over US$500,000 from the Seeding Labs Instrumental Access Programme. This was as a result of the School of Pharmacy
