MoU Memorandum of Understanding with the Organisation of American States (OAS) In 2016, COHS signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Organisation of American States aimed at increasing the number of graduates in the Masters of Public Health Nutrition programme. To date, this has resulted in a total of six international students being granted scholarships for the course of study. Franchise Agreement During the period under review, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with Church Teachers’ College for delivery of the Certificate in Pharmacy Technician course. The institution began offering this course in January 2017. PARTNERSHIPS Medical Marijuana Research Initiative The 2016/17 period saw the continuation of the Medical Marijuana Research Initiative whereby partners such as Emerald Island Jamaica Limited, Timeless Herbal Care Limited and Canamo Jamaica Limited contributed an overall total of US$76,000 to the University in the form of grants, support, scholarships and affiliation fees. This funding, primarily for the College of Health Sciences cont’d.
