University of Technology, Jamaica ANNUAL REPORT 2016-2017 Page 65 Excellence Through Knowledge provided assistance to our partners and engaged in community service in a wide range of health and welfare areas, including disaster and emergency management, sexual health and gender based violence, food safety, housing and health, vector control, water quality control and waste management. The Environmental Health Unit partnered with the several entities/ organisations: y y Caribbean Broilers poultry processing plants provided samples for Poultry Hygiene labs, and host our MOF students for their Poultry Inspection practical sessions. y y The health departments and regional health authorities of the Ministry of Health host BSc. EH 4 students for their internship programme. y y The KSA and St Catherine Health Services host MOF students for their Food Practicum and provide officers to supervise the students during their Poultry Inspection practicals. MPH programme updating The MPH programme was revised to reflect both a general degree and a degree with a specialization.
