SUMMARY OF OPERATIONS The six (6) year analysis from 2012/13 to 2016/17 indicates that the funding by the University and its external partners for student support services played a significant role in the success of the academic enterprise; and specifically served to improve the quality of student life on campus. Funding levels have remained relatively constant over this period; with slight fluctuations in the level of support provided from a low of $1.42 Billion in the current year to a high of 1.68 Billion in 2014/15. For the 2017/18 fiscal year, the total value of the Student Financial Support Services provided through the Department of Student Financing was over $1.42 Billion Dollars ($1,573,545,905.00); in the form of scholarship, sponsorship and welfare support services. Overall, a total of 7,779 students relied on one or more of the programmes of assistance in order to finance their education for 2017/18. This represents a noticeable increase of over 14% more than the previous year.
