University of Technology, Jamaica “Pioneering Past; Bright Future ” ANNUAL REPORT 2017-2018 53 STUDENTS’ UNION The University of Technology, Jamaica Students’ Union is steadfast in its mission to effectively serve and protect the rights of students promoting their academic, social, cultural, spiritual and physical development, while fostering relations with the wider community. The Union was engaged in a number of initiatives to enhance the student exper i ence on the University’s campuses in keeping with the motto, “To Serve and To Represent.” These initiatives included meetings with the University’s senior administration, hosting of the annual Club and Societies Day, Tag Drive and the annual Teach the Youth Programme.
