It is the only accounting course of study in Jamaica to be granted exemption from all the ACCA foundation examinations. Student Scholarships • Seven students from the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management received Jamaica Observer Food Awards scholarships and bursaries. • Miss Afasha Foster, an Accounting major in the Bachelor of Business Administration programme, was one of five recipients of the Chinese Ambassador’s Scholarship for the 2017/18 academic year. The scholarship was presented on January 30, 2018, by His Excellency Niu Qingbao, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Jamaica. The scholarships funded by the Chinese Embassy in Jamaica and valued at J$1M will assist students with tuition fees for the 2017/18 Academic Year.
