Inaugural Professorial Lecture Dean, Professor Paul Golding delivered his inaugural professorial lecture on August 24, 2017 at the Papine Campus. He spoke on the topic, “The Role of ICT in Jamaica’s Economic Growth Strategy.” Community Service • The Law Division, School of Business Administration conducted a workshop on May 13, 2017, with students preparing to sit the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) Law Exam. This workshop was held as a part of the division’s community service initiative. • The Economics Division hosted its annual High School Economics Workshop on November 30, 2017. The objective of the workshop was to assist high school students in their preparation for the Caribbean Secondar y Education Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) to be held in May/ June 2018. Eight schools participated - Meadowbrook High School, Morant Bay High School, Campion College, Merl Grove High School, Jonathan Grant High School, Holy Childhood High School, Calabar High School, and Mona High School. The University of Technology, Jamaica on Thursday, September 14, 2017 launched the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Jamaica 2016 - 17 Report undertaken by a team of researchers drawn from its College of Business and Management.
