The complainant must sign the report iv. v. vi. 10 . 2. 2 Where the complaint is in relation to a member of staff, the report can be made to any of the persons mentioned in section 10.1.1 or directly to the Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer (VP & CHRO). If the complaint is not made to the VP & CHRO, then any person mentioned in 11.1.1 above must advise the VP & CHRO Registrar in writing of the complaint within 48 hours of having received same. 10 . 2. 3 Individuals who reasonably believe that they have been or are being sexually harassed, are encouraged to make a report without hesitat- ion or fear, to provide the University with the opportunity to take appropriate action. Publicizing information about alleged harass- ment, instead of reporting the matter to enable an investigation, will be deemed vexatious and could subject the accuser to disciplinary action. All reports will be investig- ated, and a written response given to the complainant. The University shall: i. In the case where a sexual harassment claim is made against an employee, student of the university, or visitor, notify the alleged offender in writing, whether by electronic means or otherwise, within two (2) days of receipt of the sexual harassment claim. ii. where the sexual harassment claim is made against a customer of the university or visitor take such action as he or she considers appropriate in the circumstances, to bring the matter to the attention of the University; iii. 11.0 ACTIONING THE R EPORT The complainant (whether student or employee) will be provided with the following options for resolution of the matter: i.
